1st International Conference on the European Minorities Network (EMNet) in the Czech-German-Polish Triangle of Sorbian / Wendish Lusatia
Dear Partners, Members and Friends of LUSATIA GLOW, Dear Europeans,
Europe gets a new shape – thanks to the activation of the European cross- border language minorities within the LUSATIA GLOW Framework Programme a new European Minorities Network (EMNet) gets created strengthening and solidifying the civil society structure of the European Union. From East to West and from North to South a dense network of connecting synapses gives a new stable and resilient shape to Europe due to a never before activated organic bottom-up approach to the European Integration.
Starting at the Czech-German-Polish 3-country-triangle of Lusatia the European Minorities Network learn its lesson from the Slavonic people of the Lusatian Sorbs / Wends as ideal natural ambassadors between East and West. Particularly in our dramatic times, Europe needs such natural intermediaries across the borders in order to be able to understand other cultures and enhance the togetherness between people and countries.
It is for this reason that EMNet partners from all over Europe come on 14 & 15 July to Dresden and Bautzen in the German Lusatia in order to learn from each other and to present their individual programmes and country specific approaches from cross-border triangles to the international public. A special focus will be put on our Ukrainian fellow-citizens – a growing cross-border language minority in Europe sui generis – which hold in its hands the keys for a better understanding of the Eastern Slavonic culture and for redesigning the future of Eastern Europe.

Registration is possible here.
Looking forward to meeting you on the 14 & 15 July in Lusatia,
With kind regards
